Medstar leads national patient satisfaction survey
While Emergency Medical Services (EMS) agencies across the country are struggling to maintain clinical care and quality service in the face of falling insurance payments and rising costs, ambulance patients are becoming more sensitive to satisfaction issues such as privacy, involvement in care, and compassionate interaction with patients and family.
Medstar Host Site for County's Largest Blood Drive
CLINTON TOWNSHIP — Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood, according to the American Red Cross. Because of that constant need, Clinton Township is doing its part for the 11th year in a row to help maintain the local blood supply by hosting a community-wide drive.
EMS Education Center
We believe in educating our community on how to prevent emergencies and how to handle emergency situations. We also believe in providing our employees with an opportunity to advance their skills and complete their necessary state.
Invested in Saving Lives and Protecting Communities
A non-profit community service, Medstar's mission is to provide the best care possible for every patient we serve. Medstar invests all of our earnings into our personnel, advanced clinical care equipment, new vehicles, and cutting-edge lifesaving technology. We continue to search for new ways to improve pre-hospital medical care and emergency medical transportation safety. Our commitment to clinical excellence and operational efficiency saves countless lives, and saves our communities millions of dollars each year.
The Latest Technology - The Safest Response
Medstar has spent millions of dollars over the past few years equipping our personnel and vehicles with the most advanced lifesaving technology available. From advanced cardiac monitors to on-board safety monitors and GPS navigation systems, we are dedicated to investing our resources in such a way as to maximize our ability to save lives and provide safe, effective responses to the needs of our patients and communities.
Raising Quality Standards - Without Raising Taxes
Medstar is one of less than 200 accredited EMS providers in the United States. This means that we're one of the few to meet the exhaustive standards of the Commission on the Accreditation of Ambulance Services. Our personnel procedures, clinical care programs and dedication to quality, safety, and patient satisfaction has met the test of the leaders in the Emergency Medical Services community. This is particularly impressive given that we provide this unmatched level of care while relying on little tax support or subsidies from the communities that we serve.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Medstar crews are proud to show their support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month by wearing Pink Shirts and donning pink exam gloves. T Medstar crews are purchasing the shirts for $20 and proceeds from the sale of the shirts will be donated to local cancer centers to benefit patients undergoing cancer treatment or needing early detection. Shirts can also be ordered by the public via the link on this screen.
